SPRING HOUSE

The brief for this project was to introduce some additional spaces into an existing Torquay cottage. We worked closely with our clients to craft the perfect plan which saw alterations to part of the existing dwelling and a modest extension. These new zones needed to function efficiently within a small extension. Through careful planning and a consistency in materials we were able to gain two new home offices, a self-contained retreat with a beautiful custom designed window seat, kitchenette and additional storage for guests. An integral part of the design process was to ensure the new extension flowed seamlessly into the existing dwelling. The new window seat in the retreat creates a calm space to sit and relax, enjoying the views out to the landscaped backyard.
